When the market drops, you stick to something that never goes out of style: classic glamour. Between Roberto Cavalli, Chloe, and now Lanvin, you could tell that right now, things aren't exactly at their best when it comes to retail. Never the less, all of these campaigns are something I almost wished I saw more from designers. Lanvin's campaign takes the route of another cliche within the boundaries that most are abiding by for spring: the distressed and beautiful, using a mirror to do so. Of all the reflection shots we've seen, from Bogetta Veneta's glass shot, from Akris' profile-and-reflection take on it, this one is by far my favorite. This campaign also conquers Lanvin's tendency to airbrush ads: the soft lighting straight from Steven Meisel's lens shows Iselin Steiro in the realest we've seen from Lanvin in a long time. To sum it up: this just works- the accessories, jeweled clutches, clothes and mirror all compliment the clothes and brand beautifully.
