The famous designer department store Barney's will open a new store in Chicago on Oak Street sometime in the spring. The new store will be roughly twice the size of the current Chicago store. It will be six stories tall, complete with Fred's restaurant in the penthouse and about 90,000 square feet of selling space. The other Barney's, on the corner of Oak and Rush currently only has about 52,000 square feet of retail space.
